My story today is for a Speech assignment that we have to give in class next week. I really hate that class for some reason, and I think the reason is we have to get up in front of the class and give speeches. I am not good at all getting up and giving speeches. Now give me a pen and paper and I can write all day long, but speeches, forget it.

We have to make it a 5 minute speech and we have certain words we have to use. Now is the time I need to put my thinking cap on and get busy writing this speech. The first word was motorcycle. I do know with these words, my speech will be real easy to write, but the hard thing is getting up in front of the class to say it. Well here it goes.

Hello class. Today my speech is on driving instructors and my new motorcycle that I just bought 2 months ago. I know some of you are wondering why I didn’t get a new car, but I found out through my insurance group that insurance was cheaper on a motorcycle. Now the sad thing is do you all know how hard it is to find driving instructors for a motorcycle? I found out they are not easy to find. I read in the paper where they were offering a motorcycle class in a town about 20 miles and it had a list of driving instructors and the times available. I called the number and was told I could ride my bike back and forth for the lessons being it was a school related event.

When I found out that information, I was happy kid. Now I can see some of you are in question of what would driving instructors have to do with a motorcycle? The only answer for that question is being these courses are offered at different times of the day, they have driving instructors available at those times. Instead of maybe one person doing all the work, you might have 4 people doing the work. It is like if you miss a day of work, you can make it up by going in on your day off.

I really did like that idea and all of the driving instructors were on the same page through the whole course. So if you had to work one day and you could not make it to your class, you could make it up some other time during the day.

Well that is the end of my speech, and now I just have to read it over and see if it 5 minutes long.
